Minion Punpkin

Who is crazy enough to stay up very late and get 4 hours of sleep to scrape away at a pumpkin for the carving contest at work just for bragging rights… I am!

Every year we have a pumpkin carving contest at work, this is my pumpkin for 2013.  Here are the other entries. http://edjedesigns.com/halloween.html

I love the minion pumpkin. Can you give me some insight on how you did it, and what did you use to “scrape” it to make it so smooth? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

      Hi Amy

I used a “v” blade from X-Acto to cut the outlines, I used different X-Acto blades and a pairing knife to scrape the Minion. I just did a BB-8 pumpkin and this time I used a wood chisel to scrape and smooth it out. I went a lot faster.

Thanks for visiting my site and leaving a comment, feel free to ask questions. I’m happy to help.

      Joe
